Yesterday was such a special milestone for me. I had the honor of capturing my very first newborn session. I have always loved little ones, and when I was asked to photograph this sweet family, I was beyond grateful for the opportunity.
Having nannied and babysat all throughout college, I knew early on that family and newborn photography would hold a special place in my heart. Stepping into this session felt like such a natural extension of that love.
We coordinated everything seamlessly ahead of time, and I am so appreciative of the trust this family placed in me. The chosen color palette of soft neutrals paired with touches of green came together beautifully. When we set up in the master bedroom, with natural light streaming through the window, it truly felt like a Pinterest board had come to life.
The little one, of course, was the star of the show. Wide awake for nearly every moment, they gave us the sweetest expressions and details to capture. The two sisters were so sweet and are so excited to have a little brother now. Their energy was so kind and loving, which made the session even more special. Honestly, the images were beautiful straight out of the camera, so editing was a breeze.
Most of all, I walked away from this session feeling so thankful for the kind family who welcomed me into their home, for the chance to document such an important time in their lives, and for this first step into what I hope will be many more newborn sessions to come.
